Channeling all the warm and fuzzy feelings for the holidays and to transition to the New year, we’re currently burning Le Lueur’s Raw Sugar + Fig candle. The blend is a subtle, but very pleasant fusing of sweet and earthy scents with a base of sandalwood, musk and amber and honeyed elements like fig, vanilla orchid, brown sugar, and Vermont maple. Top notes include citrus and green floral, creating a luxurious fragrance that emits a sugary aura that’s warm but not too sweet. It’s a lovely candle to burn on a cold, winter day, particularly for those who do not enjoy strong scents as this will not fill up an entire room. 

Growing up in scenic Santa Cruz, California, La Lueur founder, Cayla Hogan, drew from the towering redwoods, rolling hills, and rugged coastlines to develop clean-burning candles that, when burned, offered the same sense of serenity she experienced from her hometown. Made from a natural coconut wax blend with essential oil-based fragrances and 100% cotton wicks, each candle is individually hand-poured into reusable glass and stone vessels, which make for great statement pieces. Reminiscent of a whiskey tumbler, the candle holder is permeated with a diamond pattern, adding dimension to the toffee-hued glass.

In addition to being eco-friendly using sustainably sourced ingredients, all candles are free of phthalates, parabens, and sulfates with no animal-tested ingredients. La Lueur means “the light” or “the glimmer” in French, which Hogan hoped each candle would instill in any space.
