With an initial meeting at the job site, we get a feel for you, your hopes and desires for the space, and the possibilities for your HEIMAT. The architecture and unique site really inform and dictate the interior design to come.
CONCEPT DESIGN & SPACE PLANNING
Once we have an idea of the scope of the project, and a feel for you, the fun begins. We pull together concept and inspiration images for the space, tease out common threads for the project, and begin to draw up furniture plan options. This is where we think about the full potential of your space, whether it is a home, bar, restaurant, or office.
THINGS BECOME SOLIDIFIED
This is where the concept becomes reality. We start nailing down specifics on floor plans, elevations, and details we would like to see during the construction phase. The process of selecting light fixtures, material finishes, furniture pieces, and custom built-ins are initiated and worked through until final selections are made.
SPECIFICATION & PROCUREMENT
THINGS ARE REAL
With feedback from the Design Development phase, we document details for each item to begin the purchasing, implementation, and logistics phase. For custom items, we start the fabrication process, and work closely with our vendors to ensure perfect execution. This is also typically when construction begins. We maintain close contact with the contractor and architect, and any other team members the project requires. We receive and inspect all items purchased, and prepare for installation.
WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS
Our team comes in with all the furniture, accessories, and art, and place it all together, to complete the design. This is really where the magic happens- all the planning and work coalesces to create an environment we’ve been dreaming about since the beginning Concept Phase. This is where the space is put together with love, develops a soul, and becomes a true HEIMAT.
